Wanted: Voluntary German to English Translators

Jens Meiert, February 19, 2007 / August 21, 2007.

This entry is filed under Web Development, Accessibility, Usability, Design.

I’m looking for voluntary translators for some of my most popular German articles and speeches:

… or other articles (after consultation with me, ideally).

These articles are surely beneficial for a broader, English speaking audience, and I just do not find the time to translate them myself yet. After a neat peer review, the appraised translators are allowed (but not obliged) to host the translations on their sites (including reference to the respective original document, of course) and will get links from the original documents, too, as well as references from this post. And almost certainly, there’ll be even more fame.

Please comment or drop me a line if you’re interested.

    Hi Jens,

I would be happy to do this for you and will work together with my wife on this task.

Esther is a degree qualified translator from the Zürcher Hochschule Winterthur and has a German mother-tongue. I am a New Zealander with English mother-tongue and also speak fluent German.

We will work together to ensure high quality translation. It is necessary that the translator (or team in our case) is a native speaker of the target language.

Please contact me via: greg at fusability dot com with your texts in word or open-office format, or with any questions.

PS: You can view Esther’s credentials at NZSTI, New Zealand’s Translators Society by searching their directory for ‘Esther’ by first name.
