News on Webkrauts and FormCamp

I just resigned from the “steering committee” of the German web designer and web developer organization Webkrauts; I rather left it entirely. The main reason that I also used to inform the committee is simple and plausible: I almost never found the time to really contribute, and due to the other organizations and projects I’m involved in, this won’t change that fast. “Philosophical” differences and other things contributed to the overall decision, but I’m leaving without resentments. Quite the contrary: The idea behind the Webkrauts is great, and I’ll try to assist the Webkrauts in future projects. I decided that I don’t need to be a (committee) member to do that.
This “resignation” also affects the FormCamp initiative since I’ll leave it, too. Ironically, that is the first FormCamp news for three months – and exactly what I’m talking about. I don’t like that inaction from a professional point of view (please note that this is 95 % self-criticism), and though my reaction might be little comprehensible for some, it means action nonetheless.
