Merged RSS Feed for German Readers

A new merged feed featuring all entries of my site, be they English or German, is finally available due to Yahoo Pipes. Since both parts of my site are different in several regards, including separate feeds, English-speaking German readers tended to subscribe to two feeds which isn’t really great, and at least there’s an option now to go for one feed.
However, this is just a quick first announcement accompanying this weekend, made possible by Yahoo apparently fixing a former encoding issue. Still, the order of the feed items is not necessarily optimal, and, more importantly, I need to figure out a more intelligent way to point readers to this feed. I decided against linking it as a feed the classical way (via link), as options would be doubled turning feed selection unnecessarily “complex” (that’s why there are no comments feeds either – keep it simple), and I didn’t want to use a regular link to that feed either, for now.
Rest assured that I’ll find a better way to make this option visible. Good web design is a process (more on that again soon), this is how we roll.
