A Web Development Term a Day…
Published on Aug 19, 2024 (updated Apr 6, 2025), filed under development (feed). (Share this on Mastodon or Bluesky?)
…keeps ignorance away, goes an old saying in our field 🙃
Since last year, The Web Development Glossary (with its 3,700+ terms) is not only an irregularly updated ebook, but also a website (WebGlossary.info).
You can now also use the glossary’s information to learn about a new term every day. You can do this by feed (which is there for automation purposes), but I recommend one of the following social media platforms:
- Mastodon × web development term of the day
- Bluesky × web development term of the day
Twitter/X × web development term of the day
(The Twitter/X integration is tentative, but, it’s there it was there.)
If you have any feedback, please email me or share it in the Web Development Glossary “forum.” Thank you—and happy learning new tech terms!
About Me
I’m Jens (long: Jens Oliver Meiert), and I’m a web developer, manager, and author. I’ve been working as a technical lead and engineering manager for companies you’ve never heard of and companies you use every day, I’m an occasional contributor to web standards (like HTML, CSS, WCAG), and I write and review books for O’Reilly and Frontend Dogma.
I love trying things, not only in web development and engineering management, but also in other areas like philosophy. Here on meiert.com I share some of my experiences and views. (I value you being critical, interpreting charitably, and giving feedback.)
