Choke Web Development Framework 1.0

Published on Nov 13, 2007 (updated Jul 14, 2023), filed under (feed). (Share this on Mastodon or Bluesky?)

Before you read this post, I threw all the frameworks experience I could muster into a little book on the matter: Check out The Little Book of HTML/CSS Frameworks (updated) for a fresh look at—frameworks.

After years of thorough research I may finally present the Choke Web Development Framework 1.0, “Choke” or “CWDF” in short. Choke is an easy-to-use, easy-to-maintain, and future-proof platform for web design and development, which includes everything you need to build great websites, from HTML to CSS to DOM scripting to comprehensive documentation.

Choke allows both beginners and experts to go to work quickly. And it’s valid, sure.

Download and License

Download Choke 1.0 (ZIP, 189,210,670 KB).

Choke is licensed under a MITRE Collaborative Virtual Workspace License.

Bonus

After uploading Choke to your website Choke automagically fills your site with content by scraping and mirroring the Alexa Top 500. Choke’s built-in Anti Duplicate Content System (ADCS) not only protects you from penalties by search engines, but also cloaks your pages so that no one can ever prove you copied anything.

What are you waiting for? Download Choke 1.0 (ZIP).

About Me

Jens Oliver Meiert, on November 9, 2024.

I’m Jens (long: Jens Oliver Meiert), and I’m a web developer, manager, and author. I’ve worked as a technical lead and engineering manager for small and large enterprises, I’m an occasional contributor to web standards (like HTML, CSS, WCAG), and I write and review books for O’Reilly and Frontend Dogma.

I love trying things, not only in web development and engineering management, but also in other areas like philosophy. Here on meiert.com I share some of my experiences and views. (I value you being critical, interpreting charitably, and giving feedback.)
